Portal Pasten is a Mexican contemporary artist known for his large scale abstract paintings. He received his I.ME. from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 1992, and continued his education with a focus on visual arts at various institutions including INBA CONACULTA, Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, and ARTE A.C.
Throughout his career, Pasten has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work in the field of plastic and visual arts. Some of his notable awards include the 1st prize in Plastic Arts at San Juan in 1994 and San Juan in 1995, and 3rd prize with Honors at Museo de Arte de Querétaro in 1995.
Pasten has also exhibited his works in various galleries and shows around the world. Some of his exhibitions include the Premio Alejandrina at Museo de Arte de Querétaro in 1998, Arte por la Palabra XO in San Pedro Garza, NL in 2001, and Art Expo Atlanta in 2004.
Portal Pasten’s artistic style is characterized by his use of vibrant colors and bold, abstract shapes. His large-scale paintings often evoke a sense of movement and energy, drawing the viewer in with their dynamic compositions.
